12 PROGRAMS OF WINTER SCREENINGS 2025
film and video art
Winter Screenings 2025 feature experimental, surrealist, and underground cinema, documentaries of all types, essay films, screendance, video art, and animation. The programs resist fixed categories, moving fluidly between abstraction, documentary, and hybrid forms. This formal openness makes space for political urgency. Films from Palestine, Iran, Greece, South Korea, Uruguay, Armenia, Japan, the UK, the Americas, Australia, and across Europe engage in questions of power, displacement, memory, and resistance through art itself.

This formal openness makes space for political urgency. Films from Palestine, Iran, Greece, South Korea, Uruguay, Armenia, Japan, the UK, the Americas, Australia, and across Europe engage questions of power, displacement, memory, and resistance through art itself.
Placing experimental moving-image practices alongside documentary works challenges habitual perceptions of cinema, asking viewers to reconsider form as a political choice and perception as an active process.
This edition invites attention rather than consumption, proposing cinema as a space where aesthetics and politics can co-exist without propaganda.

12 PROGRAMS OF WINTER SCREENINGS 2025
Pebbles Underground is focused on showcasing and promoting experimental, avant-garde, underground, and no-to-low budget projects by artist-humans from all over the world. Absurd, uncanny, witty, humorous, slow-video – all are welcomed, and loved. Pebbles Underground is an independent project not funded by any government or corporation, and we intend to keep it that way. Main source of funding is personal donations from humans organizing the project, who are artists themselves, and the main drive of the project is formed by the energy and involvement of the organizers, and the public.
