NIGHT LIGHT by Nik Liguori
USA (2024)
Dark stars and signals commingle and coruscate. Of course, the night air breathes in its usual way. The sky is a television on the blink, sitting outside of time and space. A glowing Xerox. Bridging the voyeuristic gap between the act of filmmaking and the act of looking.
Director’s Statement
In my work I strive to reconsider the archive as a deeply resourceful space for creativity and play, freely reimagining fragments of social histories, personal mythologies, and cultural reference in service of auto-fictional narratives steeped in melodrama and fantasy. I work across multiple mediums, including video art and film, collage, zines and book art, and assemblage.

Pebbles Underground is focused on showcasing and promoting experimental, avant-garde, underground, and no-to-low budget projects by artist-humans from all over the world. Absurd, uncanny, witty, humorous, slow-video – all are welcomed, and loved. Pebbles Underground is an independent project not funded by any government or corporation, and we intend to keep it that way. Main source of funding is personal donations from humans organizing the project, who are artists themselves, and the main drive of the project is formed by the energy and involvement of the organizers, and the public.
