“Wet” (Molhada) Giovana Chiconelli, Portugal, 2023

WET was born out of an exercise that we all, directing students, did to explore female sexuality in my class. This was my response to it. I wanted to make a movie without any words, but that could speak volumes about the sexiness, cuteness, grossness and disgustingness of real female horniness. For this I used the mouth, where many experience our first contact with feelings of pleasure, the cavity that represents a million different things (Freud is fistbumping the air right now). What we use to eat, to kiss, to vomit, and to talk to each other.
