Synopsis
The mind of a feverish body drifts far and deep through slivers of memories and layers of ineffable feelings.
About the Director
Originally from Hong Kong, Lin Li is now based in Scotland. She uses mainly moving image and sound in her creative practice. Her output encompasses dozens of short films, which explore a variety of subjects of personal significance to her such as migration, the temporality and transience of existence, and the concept of ‘peace’. In the last two years, she has worked in collaboration with the musician Rachel Beckles Willson under the name ‘connective tissue’ and has also developed a collective collaborative project which involves writing and images. Pebbles Underground is focused on showcasing and promoting experimental, avant-garde, underground, and no-to-low budget projects by artist-humans from all over the world. Absurd, uncanny, witty, humorous, slow-video – all are welcomed, and loved.
Pebbles Underground is an independent project not funded by any government or corporation, and we intend to keep it that way. Main source of funding is personal donations from humans organizing the project, who are artists themselves, and the main drive of the project is formed by the energy and involvement of the organizers, and the public.
